Se Cathedral, Old Goa - History details

The Sé Catedral de Santa Catarina (Old Goa) was built 1562–1619 and consecrated 1640 to mark the 1510 victory on St Catherine’s feast. Asia’s largest church by volume (c. 250 ft × 181 ft), it mixes a Tuscan exterior with Corinthian interiors and houses the famed Golden Bell. Part of the UNESCO ‘Churches and Convents of Goa’.
