Goa’s largest reservoir on the Guleli/Salaulim River began in 1975 and opened in 2000; it supplies most of South Goa’s drinking water. Geography impresses: a 24‑sq‑km water spread against Western Ghats ridges. Signature feature: the rare duckbill (morning‑glory) spillway that roars in monsoon; adjacent is a landscaped botanical garden.
