Fontainhas - History details

Fontainhas, established around 1770 by António João de Sequeira, is Goa’s Latin Quarter in Panaji with Portuguese architecture, narrow lanes, and colorful houses at the base of Altinho Hill. Bounded by Ourem Creek, it preserves Mediterranean-style heritage. The Feast of St. Sebastian in January is a major cultural event.
