Tata Steel Zoological Park - History details

Urban zoo inside Jubilee Park, Sakchi, Jamshedpur; opened to public on 3 March 1994 and managed by Tata Steel Zoological Society. Recognized as a ‘Medium’ category CZA zoo with ~400 animals across ~50 species, including a Butterfly House; new leopard and hyena enclosures opened in 2024. Ongoing remodeling since 2022 aims to complete by 2025. Lakeside location by Jayanti Sarovar offers boating and education facilities.
