Shoolpaneshwar Mahadev Temple - History details

Shoolpaneshwar Mahadev Temple near Kevadia is an ancient Shiva shrine historically located at Manibeli, where—according to legend—Shiva washed the blood from his trident and a self‑emerged lingam manifested. The original temple submerged in 1994 due to the Sardar Sarovar Dam, and a new temple was consecrated on 7 May 1994. Surrounded by forests and the Narmada River, it attracts devotees especially during Shivratri.
