Kaitha Shiv Mandir - History details

Kaitha Shiv Mandir, about 3 km from Ramgarh, was built in 1670 by Maharaja Dalel Singh when the Ramgarh Raj capital shifted here. The 17th‑century temple blends Bengal, Rajput and Mughal styles, constructed with lakhori bricks. Declared a national monument, it features a 12‑ft high Shivling with a five‑hooded naga canopy accessed by stairs, and a cave leading towards a pond.
