Hundru Waterfall - History details

One of Jharkhand’s highest waterfalls on the Subarnarekha River, plunging ~98 m (≈320 ft) at the edge of the Ranchi plateau. About 45 km from Ranchi off the Ranchi–Purulia road; a pool forms at the base, popular for bathing in dry months. During monsoon the segmented fall turns formidable; site also linked to the Suvarnarekha hydel project downstream.
