Bol Bam ( Deoghar ) - History details

‘Bol Bam’ refers to the sacred Shravan Kanwar pilgrimage to Baba Baidyanath Dham in Deoghar. Devotees carry Ganga water from Sultanganj and walk over 100 km chanting ‘Bol Bam’. The month‑long pilgrimage is one of India’s largest religious gatherings, symbolising devotion, discipline and faith. Deoghar becomes vibrant with saffron‑clad Kanwariyas during July–August each year.
