Tiger Cave - History details
Tiger Cave near Mahabalipuram is an 8th-century Pallava rock-cut monument adorned with tiger-head carvings. Believed to be a venue for cultural gatherings, it reflects Dravidian artistry and historical significance. Located close to the Bay of Bengal, the site also led to the discovery of an ancient Murugan temple nearby. Its serene setting makes it a favorite picnic spot.
