Five Rathas Pancha Rathas - History details

The Five Rathas of Mahabalipuram, carved from single granite blocks in the 7th century, showcase Pallava artistry. Each ratha represents Dravidian architecture and is named after Pandavas and Draupadi. Though unfinished and never consecrated, these monolithic wonders are part of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites. They illustrate the evolution of South Indian temple design and remain a major tourist attraction.
