Sunamuhin Dam - History details
Sunamuhin Dam, developed as a minor irrigation project in the early 2000s, sits near Khandapada in the Nayagarh hills. Cocooned by coconut groves and forested ridges, its calm reservoir and adjacent park (open gyms, kids’ play areas, viewpoints) make it a relaxed weekend escape. Monsoon clouds hug surrounding slopes; winters bring crystal vistas. The dam’s canals feed nearby farmland during dry spells.
