Ranjankudi Fort - History details
Ranjankudi Fort is a 15th-century fortress located about 16 km north of Perambalur, Tamil Nadu, that played a significant role in regional conflicts like the Battle of Valikondah in 1751. Originally built by the Vijayanagar Nayaka Kings, it was later occupied and expanded by the Nawab of Carnatic. The fort is now maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
