Pandava Bakhara - History details
Pandava Bakhara in Pathapur, within Chandaka forest, is a prehistoric cave site associated with Pandava exile legends. Archaeological findings indicate human habitation from 3,500–4,000 years ago, with rock art depicting reptiles, tools and geometric symbols. Visitors trek a steep one‑kilometre ascent to reach the cave, discovering Stone‑Age traces, dense forests and panoramic views toward the Mahanadi valley.
