Dhoni Waterfalls tumbles within reserve forest about a dozen kilometres from Palakkad town and is reached by a guided three‑to‑four‑kilometre trek that begins near teak plantations. Forest‑department time slots run most of the year, with the monsoon from June to October creating the strongest flow and the September to February window offering clearer, safer trails. Linked ridgelines also lead trekkers toward Malampuzha and Meenvallam cascades.
