Tipu Sultan Summer Palace - History details

Built between 1781 and 1791 by Hyder Ali and completed by Tipu Sultan, this Indo-Islamic teak palace in Bangalore served as the Sultan’s summer retreat. Located within Bangalore Fort, it features carved pillars, frescoes, and balconies from which Tipu held court. After his death in 1799, the British used it as a secretariat. Special date: completion 1791.
