North of Mangalore at NITK, this clean arc of sand is crowned by a 1970s lighthouse on a rocky knoll with the Sadashiva temple at its base. Climb during visiting hour (often 4–5 pm) for Arabian Sea panoramas and fiery sunsets. The beach sits just off NH‑66; tides can be strong in monsoon—exercise caution. Best Oct–Mar.
