Built by Tipu Sultan in 1784 at Boloor, this black‑stone watchtower guarded the Gurupura River against British ships. Featuring cannon mounts and panoramic sea views, it served as a naval outpost and storage site. Today it’s a preserved historical attraction near Mangalore’s coast.
