Off Malpe coast, this cluster of four islands shows rare columnar rhyolitic lava—hexagonal/polygonal vertical pillars formed ~88 million years ago during India–Madagascar rifting; declared National Geological Monument and on UNESCO tentative list. Accessible only by ferry from Malpe.
