Solapur Bhuikot Fort - History details
The Bhuikot Fort in Solapur, Maharashtra, is a historic land fort located on the banks of Siddheshwar Lake. Unlike most of Maharashtra's forts, which are built on hilltops, Bhuikot (meaning "land fort") was constructed on a flat ground. The structure has witnessed the rule of various dynasties, including the Bahamani sultans, Mughals, Marathas, and the British.
