The rocky Ramadevara Betta near Ramanagara doubled as ‘Ramgarh’ in the 1975 film Sholay. Trails, a hilltop Shiva shrine and vulture sanctuary vistas draw cinephiles; many iconic scenes (Gabbar’s hideout, ridge shots) were filmed here. The spot lies ~50–60 km from Bengaluru off Mysuru Road and is a popular short trek.
