Punnathur Kotta - History details

Punnathur Kotta in Kottapadi near Guruvayur is a former palace converted into Kerala’s largest elephant sanctuary. Home to temple elephants of Guruvayur, it houses around 40–50 elephants. Visitors can observe feeding, bathing and training rituals. The nalukettu palace and Shiva temple add heritage value.
