Pratapgad Fort - History details
Pratapgad Fort is a historically significant hilltop fort located in the Satara district of Maharashtra, India. Built by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in 1656, it is famous for the Battle of Pratapgad, where Shivaji Maharaj defeated the Adilshahi general Afzal Khan in 1659.
