Carved from a single granite boulder in the Vijayanagara era, the 15‑ft monolithic Nandi faces Virupaksha Temple at the end of Hampi Bazaar. Set on a two‑storey pavilion amid giant boulders, it marks the trailhead to Achyutaraya Temple and Matanga Hill. Despite weathering, it remains an iconic Hampi sculpture.
