Built across the Arkavathi near Magadi in Ramanagara district, this scenic reservoir (c. 1980s) supplies water to nearby towns and is a popular sunrise/sunset drive from Bengaluru. Swimming is strictly unsafe due to fault lines/deep slush; many fatalities have occurred. Kayaking/boating run at permitted resorts.
