Kurudumale in Mulbagal (Kolar) hosts a 13.5‑ft monolithic Saligrama‑stone Ganesha believed to be installed by the Trimurtis before defeating Tripurasura. Chola and Vijayanagara inscriptions survive, and legends say Rama, Krishna and the Pandavas worshipped here. Surrounded by rocky hills and the sacred Koundinyagiri, it is most crowded during Ganesh Chaturthi.
