Kalyanathandu View Point - History details

Kalyanathandu, also known as Kalvary Mount, became prominent after the Idukki Dam was built in 1975, offering spectacular aerial views of the reservoir and Anjuruli’s islands. Positioned along the Western Ghats, it experiences mist and cool winds. It is also a Christian Lenten pilgrimage site, with rare Neelakurinji blooming recorded here in 2024.
