Ellora Cave No 10 - History details
Ellora Cave No. 10, also known as the Vishwakarma Cave, is a stunning Buddhist prayer hall carved from solid rock in the 7th century CE. Located in the Ellora Caves complex near Aurangabad, Maharashtra, it is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a masterful example of ancient Indian rock-cut architecture. Its local name, Sutar-ka-Jhopra ("carpenter's hut"), comes from its elaborately carved roof, which imitates a wooden structure.
