Csi St. Mark'S Cathedral, Bengaluru - History details

An Anglican-origin cathedral founded in 1808 and completed in 1812; consecrated in 1816. Rebuilt after a 1923 fire and reopened in 1927, it later became the cathedral of the Karnataka Central Diocese (1961). The English Baroque design—dome, chancel, Corinthian arches—was inspired by St Paul’s Cathedral. Located at the west end of MG Road.
