Burude Falls - History details

Near Siddapur in Uttara Kannada, Burude (Dodmane/Illimane) Falls cascades in five tiers into natural pools inside a lush Western Ghats gorge. Formed by the Illimane rivulet, a tributary of the Aghanasini, it is accessed via a 1–1.5 km forest descent with concrete steps. Best visited post‑monsoon (Oct–Feb); monsoon trails are slippery and often restricted.
