Barsi Gate, Hansi ( Hisar ) - History details

The only surviving gate of walled Hansi, this pointed‑arch portal was built in 1303 CE under Sultan Alauddin Khalji and later repaired in 1522 CE during Ibrahim Lodi’s reign. Rising nearly 30 m, it fronted the Hansi fort’s outer defences and remains a fine exemplar of Delhi Sultanate architecture.
