This 12th‑century Hoysala hill‑fort, built by the wife of Veera Ballala II, stands atop a 1509‑m shola‑covered peak between Bettabalige and Sunkasale. Accessible only by trek, its ruined arches and walls overlook deep valleys of the Western Ghats. The site is a popular sunrise–sunset trek route from Durgadahalli and offers sweeping views of surrounding forests and grasslands.
