Popularly called Barwalla (Barwal) Waterfall near Kangan, this is a scenic man‑made cascade formed by an escape channel before the Kijpora bridge. A favourite summer dip spot for locals, it lies about 1 km from Kangan Dumping Park off the Ganderbal–Sonamarg road. Authorities ordered sirens and alerts in July 2024 after a surge incident—heed signage and avoid the channel in spate.
