The sulphur hot springs at Vashisht village near Manali are tied to legends of Sage Vashisht; the present temple complex and public baths lie about 3–3.5 km from Manali on the Beas’ left bank. The springs are considered therapeutic with separate bathing enclosures. In local lore, Lakshman’s arrow released the hot water. Best visited in the morning; open most of the year.
