Sreepada Yellampalli Project - History details

Commissioned in 2004 and completed in 2016, this barrage on the Godavari River was named after legislator D. Sripada Rao. It is the fourth largest project on the river in Telangana.Located between Peddapalli and Mancherial districts, the project spans 1180 meters and stores 20 TMC of water.It supplies drinking water to Hyderabad and supports NTPC Ramagundam, besides irrigating thousands of acres.
