Shahi Qila - History details
The Shahi Qila (Royal Fort) in Burhanpur is a historic Mughal-era fortress located on the banks of the Tapti River in Madhya Pradesh. Originally built by the Farooqui dynasty, the fort later served as a key residence for Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan during his time as governor. Though it is now mostly in ruins, the fort still showcases remarkable architecture and offers a panoramic view of the river.
