Ram Bagh - History details
Ram Bagh is a historic garden in Amritsar, Punjab, built in 1818 by Maharaja Ranjit Singh, the founder of the Sikh Empire. Also known as Company Bagh, it was designed as a summer retreat for the Maharaja and named in honor of the city's founder, Guru Ram Das. The sprawling 84-acre complex showcases 18th and 19th-century Sikh art and architecture and includes several notable structures.
