Purana Quila - History details
Purana Quila, or the Old Fort, is a historic fort complex located in New Delhi, not East Delhi. The fort was built in the 1530s by Mughal Emperor Humayun and later added to by Afghan ruler Sher Shah Suri. It is widely believed to be the ancient site of Indraprastha, the capital city of the Pandavas from the Hindu epic Mahabharata.
