Nahargarh Step Well - History details

The Nahargarh Step Well, or baori, is a historic rainwater harvesting and storage system located within the Nahargarh Fort complex in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Built in 1734 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, it is part of a larger network of canals designed to supply water to the fort. There are actually two stepwells, one outside the main entrance and a smaller one inside.
