Mount Of Mercy ( Jesus Statue ) - History details
Inaugurated in 2009 on Yanam’s riverfront, this 37‑ft Christ statue was built with support from Puducherry administration and corporate partners. Modeled after Rio’s Christ the Redeemer, it sits beside Balayogi Bridge overlooking the Godavari. The lower level hosts a Marian shrine with sculpted life episodes of Jesus, open mostly on Sundays.
