Medigadda Pump House - History details

Part of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project, Medigadda Pump House is the first pumping station in the world’s largest multi-stage lift irrigation scheme. It was inaugurated in 2019.Situated near Medigadda Barrage on the Godavari River, it lifts water to higher reservoirs for irrigation and drinking purposes across Telangana.It houses massive pumps with a combined capacity of 440 MW, making it one of the largest pump houses globally.
