Koksar is the first major village of Lahaul after emerging from the Atal Tunnel (north portal). Set along the Chandra River between Sissu and Rohtang/Kunzum routes, it is among the colder settlements of the valley and a seasonal base for snow views, short hikes and highway dhabas. Winter access varies with snowfall and advisories.
