Junagarh Fort - History details
Junagarh Fort is a magnificent 16th-century fort in Bikaner, Rajasthan, known for its unique location on a plain rather than a hilltop. Originally named Chintamani, it was renamed "Old Fort" (Junagarh) in the 20th century when the royal family moved to the Lalgarh Palace. The modern city of Bikaner has since developed around the fort.
