Jantar Mantar Jaipur - History details
The Jantar Mantar in Jaipur, Rajasthan, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring a collection of 19 astronomical instruments. The open-air observatory was built in the 18th century by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, an avid astronomer and founder of Jaipur, and is the largest and best-preserved of the five observatories he constructed across India.
