Jalore Fort - History details
Jalore Fort is an ancient fortress located in the city of Jalore, Rajasthan, perched on a steep hill overlooking the Sukri River. Due to its strategic position and fortifications, it was once considered unconquerable and served as a stronghold of the Marwar region. The fort is also known as "Sonagir" or "Suvarnagiri," meaning "the Golden Mount".
