Opened to ease the climb to Jakhu Temple on Shimla’s highest hill, the ropeway floats from the Ridge to Jakhu in about 6 minutes, revealing the 108‑ft Hanuman statue and Shivalik vistas. Usual hours run ~09:30–18:00 (weather dependent). It’s popular in winter when snow blocks roads, and on Hanuman‑Jayanti, when devotees pair the ride with temple aarti on the summit.
