Dominican Monastery ( Ruined Church ) - History details

Inside Moti Daman Fort, the Dominican Monastery—erected in 1567 in honour of St. Dominic—was once the territory’s premier theological seat under the Portuguese. Geography: arcaded walls and fallen vaults open to sea breezes along the ramparts. Interesting fact: the Catholic community gathers annually on 2 February and the third Sunday of December to recount its history and hold a memorial Mass at the ruins.
