Diu Fort View Point ( Lighthouse Ramparts ) - History details

Built 1535–1541 after Bahadur Shah’s alliance with the Portuguese, Diu Fort’s ramparts and lighthouse crown the island’s eastern tip with double moats and sea views. Geography: cliffs washed by the Arabian Sea on three sides. Interesting fact: the fort’s light throws a beam out to ~32 nautical miles; cannons and shell‑mounds still dot the walls, making the lighthouse terrace the prime viewpoint.
