Mandi’s bazaar‑side Clock Tower beside the Sunken Garden was inaugurated on 28 Feb 1939 under Raja Joginder Sen; lore says the site marks the burial of rival king Prithi Pal of Bhangal (c. 1701), giving the spot a storied gravitas. Today it anchors market walks and festival parades in the town called ‘Chhoti Kashi’.
