Chand Pol Moon Gate - History details
Chand Pol, or the Moon Gate, is one of the historic gates of Jaipur's walled city, located on the western side. Built in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, it was one of the main entry points into the city. The gate's name, "Chandpol," means "Moon Gate" in the local language.
