Brookshabad Pillow Lava Geoheritage Site - History details

The Brookshabad Pillow Lava, also called Brooksabad Pillow Lava, is a geoheritage site in the South Andaman district of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, not North and Middle Andaman as commonly cited. It is a geological wonder featuring bulbous, spherical, and interconnected pillow-shaped basalt formations. These formations are an important feature of the Andaman Ophiolite suite, dating to the Late Cretaceous period.
